Prose fills wall in Newton café's 'free coffee for poems' promopoem

The wall of a local coffee shop is slowly filling with poetry.

As part of a month-long promotion, Newton's Espesso Café is offering a free coffee (or tea or pop) to anyone who writes and submits an original poem.

As of Friday afternoon (April 8), 17 poems were posted a wall at the coffee shop.

Charity, Donald Trump-style

It's not just that there was a lack of large cash gifts from Trump himself—there weren’t any. “Not a single one of those donations was actually a personal gift of Trump’s own money,” David Fahrenthold and Rosalind Helderman wrote. “Many of the gifts that Trump cited to prove his generosity were free rounds of golf, given away by his courses for charity auctions and raffles.”
